F.A.Q.

Where will my boudoir session take place?

I am located in Calgary, Alberta. We can shoot at your home, my home, a hotel, or other location of your choice in Calgary or surrounding area.

Do you offer professional hair and makeup on site?

Yes, this is included in your package. The best way to start your experience is by getting made up with professional hair and makeup. A professional hair/makeup artist will meet us at our location and make you feel confident and sexy! The makeup artist recommends that you bring along your foundation and mascara. She can also apply false eyelashes for that extra sexy look.

What do I bring to my boudoir session?

I recommend bringing three outfits that make you feel fabulous! Bras, panties, teddies, bustiers, and corsets are all fantastic. Jewelry looks amazing! It may be something that is too bold for everyday life that you don’t often get a chance to wear. High heels are a must; if you have a sexy pair that is too uncomfortable to walk in this is a great opportunity to use them. Adding a pair of stockings can be a nice touch. Some ladies enjoy modeling with an item belonging to their fiance/husband.

What do I do to prepare for my boudoir session?

I recommend getting plenty of rest the night before. Try to have a light meal before your shoot and make sure you are hydrated. Be sure to shave your legs and moisturize. Avoid wearing tight underwear and clothes that can cause red marks that day.  Teeth whitening strips can add to your confidence. Pedicures and manicures always look great. It’s okay to have plain nails, just make sure to avoid chipped nail polish.

Should I tan before my photo shoot?

I don’t recommend tanning, unless it is part of your usual routine. It can be blotchy in areas and it may rub off on your lingerie. Tan lines from the sun can be unflattering, so be cautious of your outdoor exposure. With nice lighting and photo processing your skin will look beautiful.

I’m worried about skin imperfections. Do you retouch the images?

You’re gorgeous just the way you are! I do edit the photos with some gentle airbrushing that smooths cellulite, stretch marks, and wrinkles. I also remove blemishes and bruises.

Will you help me pose?

Absolutely, I’ll give you lots of direction. All you need to do is have fun and be your beautiful self!

Can I do a shoot if I’m still working on getting in better shape?

There is no one size, age or look for boudoir. Every woman has a sexy side!

I’m feeling very nervous. Is this normal?

Most ladies are a bit nervous when they first arrive, but after their professional hair and makeup styling and we choose their first outfit they feel relaxed. As we start shooting the ladies realize how gorgeous they are and their confidence builds as we continue the photo shoot.

How long have you been a boudoir photographer?

I’ve been shooting boudoir photography since 2009. I graduated from the Digital Photography program at George Brown College in Toronto in 2008. I gained valuable experience learning from Judy Cormier of Elementz of Fotography, Lisa Wiebe of Her Boudoir Photography, and Trevor Sherwin of Provocateur Images.

Will my images be posted online?

This is totally optional. Your images will only be shared online with your permission.

This is a gift for my significant other. When should I schedule my session?

If possible we suggest booking 8 weeks before you need the images. However, it may be possible to shoot a last minute session, so don’t hesitate to contact me even if you’re on a tight time line.

I want to present my photos in a special way. What products do you offer?

In additional to your digital prints your package may include either a folio or album of images. This way you’ll have a tangible product to look back on later in life. Specialty products and upgrades are also available.

How do I book a session?

Just send an email to confirm a date. A $250 retainer is required to book your session.
